Woodway selected as Official Treadmill of the 2007 Great Lakes HSA Treadmill Challenge

February 18, 2007– Cleveland, OH-- Great Lakes HSA is proud to announce that Woodway will be the exclusive supplier of Treadmills for the 24 Hour Treadmill Challenge. Woodway will supply the runners with two Desmo Treadmills. One will be used for the full 24 hours event , while the other will be used for the athletes to warm-up.

“Without Woodway's involvement, we probably would not be attempting this World Record as we need a treadmill that can run for 24 hours at a speed of 12-15mph. "We tested other treadmills at a local healthclub and most shut down after two hours. After we disabled the 2nd treadmill, we will asked to slow down or leave, says John Paull, from Team Good River.

"Woodway treadmills are the absolute best investment in treadmill technology, efficiency, and performance on the planet for athletes of all levels. Woodway treadmills can be found in almost every professional sports team’s training facility along with the homes of many professional athletes and celebrities who demand the very best equipment", said, Eric Weber, National Sales & Mktg Mngr for Woodway

Each treadmill (including the models used at this event) is custom designed with our patented running surface and ball bearing system. The running surface is made from rubber T-slats giving you the ultimate cushion and softness, while maintaining the natural biomechanics of your stride. This cushioned surface almost eliminates the force of impact with each foot strike whereas conventional treadmills have a cotton and nylon belt stretched across a wood surface making the running surface hard and straining on joints, muscles, and tendons.
